Finland is one of those places that really sticks with you. I visited Helsinki and was instantly taken by the calm beauty of the city. The architecture is striking, and the cathedral in particular is absolutely stunning. A visit to Finland wouldn’t be complete without experiencing one of the saunas, and Helsinki has some great ones. The harbour sauna, where you can jump straight into the icy sea afterwards, is a real local favourite. I gave the plunge a miss, but it was fun to watch others brave it!
